Welcome to Chummy Chatter!

This is our new blog, Chummy Chatter! You may be wondering how we got our unique name... Well, it all started with our obsession with YouTube. One miraculous day we happened to stumble upon the channels of Zoella and Sprinkleofglitter. We instantly fell in love with the two girls, Zoe and Louise, and we watched all of their videos including the older ones (go check out Zoe's and Louise's blog!). We realized that they were best friends and they called each other Chummy. Since we've been the bestest of friends since 4th grade, we somehow started calling each other Chummy and the name has stuck ever since. On our blog, we plan to post entries about a variety of things including our obsessions, our vacations, beauty and fashion, recipes and more about our lives. Harel

Hi! My name is Harel. Let me tell you a little about me so you know who's behind these posts... I was born in Israel and lived there for three years. I then moved to the US where my 2 younger sisters were born. I will soon be celebrating 10 years living in the United States! But I do really miss seeing the beautiful sights of Israel. If you click on the 'Harel and Megan' profile, you'll see that Megan and I are Harry Potter fanatics - we are the ultimate potterheads. My obsession with HP actually started in 2013, I know, I know I am very late! But still, it's an amazing series and I have Chummy to thank for introducing me to it through a Harry Potter marathon. The movie marathon was then followed by me reading the books. And don't get mad at me for reading the books after watching the movies because I definitely value the books more :) (but the movies are, of course an absolutely incredible creation). Oh and Ravenclaws all the way! Anyway, my second obsession is YouTube. I started to really get into YouTube in late November of 2013 but it definitely does not feel like only 8ish months! I began my YouTube journey with The Fine Brothers (TheFineBros on YouTube). I watched one of their Youtubers React videos featuring Caspar Lee. I thought he was really funny and interesting so I went to his channel. His latest video was his exclusive interview with Troye Sivan. I loved loved loved loved Troye so, I went to his channel, too. From there I discovered tons of other amazing YouTubers that have become such a big part of my life. I’m not going to write too much about them because we’ll have another blog post up soon all about YouTube! Okay sooo let’s see… I love to bike. Megan and I always go into the woods and bike around looking for fun trees to climb :) I also love to draw… even though I’m rubbish ;) Any tips for beginners? Haha anyway, ever since first grade I have found that I really like writing. I love the thought of expressing how I feel through a story or post like this. I find myself lost in the words and I feel so happy when I know exactly what I want to write about and the words just continue to flow on to the page. Writing gives me so much freedom, and that is why I am so super duper excited to begin this journey and expand this blog into something great that I will be able to look back to/on and continue for a long, long time. So, I think this will conclude my little introduction. I just wanted to give you guys a bit of input about myself. Megan

Hello there people of the internet! My name is Megan and I was born in the north of England. I moved to America when I was young with my parents and older brother. I love visiting England and still consider it my only home. As you read above, Chummy and I are absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter! I’ve been a fan for years and grew up with my Dad and brother reading them to me. When I found out that Harel had never read the books or seen the movies I knew what I had to do. We had a movie marathon and then we became Potterheads together! Harry Potter is my life and J.K. Rowling is my queen. The books are my place to go when I need to think and they make me feel so much better! If you haven’t read the series yet I definitely recommend them to anyone! I don’t only read the Harry Potter books but I also love reading in general. Some of my other favourites are The Fault in Our Stars (beware the feels), Divergent, The Hobbit, If I Stay and loads more. YouTube is also a major part of my life. I have to thank my Chummy for getting me into it! I started watching around the time that Harel started watching but it seems like I have known some of the YouTubers I watch my whole life. I won’t say too much on the topic because as you read before, there will be a blog post on it soon ;). One of my favorite things to do is travel. I absolutely love going to new places and seeing all there is to see in the world. I’ve been to England, Spain, and Germany and I’m planning to go to Portugal and Australia in the next few years. After high school or college I want to go on a road trip across the United States with my best friends as well as a road trip around Europe. Those are my big adventures that I want to happen but for now my adventures consist of biking through the woods with Chummy and battling bugs and thorns to get to our special tree where I do my best thinking. I enjoy writing and have a great idea for a novel but we’ll see how that goes…Writing is a way for me to escape the real world and create my own world with fictional characters and places where I can feel at home. So anyways, I hope you enjoy our blog posts and continue to give us suggestions on ways to improve our blog. As my queen, J.K Rowling, once said “No story lives unless someone wants to listen”, so I hope you can listen to and enjoy our little story we call our lives <3.
